Wow. Loved this game. Its simple, but beautiful and incredibly challenging. It reminded me a lot of the book House of Leaves. I managed to go through it without any walk throughs, but it stumped me a few times until that amazing "aha" moment that happens when the game tells you youve done it. I love that the game broke the fourth wall and so many conventional game rules. The only bad part was that I kept wanting to play after the game ended. Give these nice people your money. Dont believe the Doubters who gave this game a low rating.

The format is original and once you get into it (which took me a while) its fun and a engaging. I imagine the raving reviews come from people who havent played a lot of puzzle games. This game is nice but it pales in comparison to games like The Room or Machinarium. Most puzzles are a breeze and feel out of place. The creepy music/sound effects contribute to the games atmosphere but become annoying when you have to repeat areas for clues

The experience of this game is unforgettable and irreplaceable and truly one-of-a-kind. I was amazed and sincerely loved it! It provides a fresh gameplay unlike any other game I have yet had the opportunity to play. So is this game for you? I say yes, if you are a fan of mystery short stories, video games, and challenging puzzles; this game provides an excellent blend of each. What is this game not? It is not merely a puzzle game that is just mundane puzzle after puzzle so if youre looking for a puzzle game, in that sense, then this is likely not what you are seeking.

This is an unusual game that requires you to use your eyes, ears, and deductive skills. Its like walking through a book and movie mystery. I loved every minute!

I dont usually give reviews, but this game is very amazing and unique. Its a very innovative gameplay. Yes, it could be boring because it has a lot of reading, but its actually part of the gameplay. Ive never seen such high level of interactivity in a "story book" before.

I couldnt get into it.

This is not like any game I have played before. Its basically an interactive book. It is very well done and very imaginative and absorbing. The puzzles are basically a way to advance to the next chapter, where equal weight is placed on the reading and observations plus the challenge of figuring out the puzzles. Its long enough, but I wish it was longer. This is the second game I have played by this developer (I played Year Walk), and maybe I am more sensitive to a 1st-person experience where things get unpleasant. As with the other game, I found this one a bit disturbing too. It is a good game, so I would recommend it if my previous comment doesnt bother you. I guess I have learned my lesson and probably should stop downloading any more games by this developer! :/

Best played alone in the dark.

I do not understand this game, Im sure its clever, but for who I dont know. Im so sorry I wasted my money, wish I could get a refund, The description and concept looked great, but Im sadly mistaken.

This game is simply incredible. Several hours of gameplay, very fun mechanics that pull you into the storybook itself. Its absolutely worth picking up.

Its been quite a while since I finished Device 6, and Ive tried every game reddits claimed is similar, but nothings come close to this...except maybe the devs other games; Year Walk is also amazing (I drew maps! I downloaded software to better render my maps!), and Sailors Dream makes the phrase hauntingly beautiful ashamed that its ever been used to describe anything else (and the soundtrack is 60% of my Creepy sleepy music for bedtime playlist). Still, really, _this_ game is...you know that feeling when youre like suffocating because everything is always mundane and profane, and all you want is something strange and glorious and terrible like Rilke and not like updating spreadsheets or acid reflux? Like you just want to feel like Christmas lights or the moon or the top of a mountain? This game is that. Its air. I like super like it.

this game was perfect.. the puzzles were hard (which was nice) and it was unlike anything ive ever played. worth it!!!
